The latter still requires that you own the Steam version, so I guess there’s no reason to specify that. The game is looking all kinds of fantastic, so it seems like the right time to start getting hyped for when it’s available and I find myself dying horribly for hours on end.

is a massive asynchronous multiplayer game that casts players into procedurally-generated temples and tasks them with retrieving the sacred relics hidden within deadly chambers. Intrepid adventurers will dodge scores of hidden traps, leap treacherous chasms, and flee relentless guardians through branching paths until one of the relics are claimed or the devices of death overwhelm them.

comes in as a unique multiplayer puzzle game where you have to utilize the ghosts of players who've perished to guide your way through treacherous rooms. The catch is that you only have one chance to take on any level, so it's best to be cautious.

Since it grapples almost instantaneously, it increases the window of time you have to grapple a platform while falling fast, which is how I've gotten the most use out of it. You can drop through tall rooms with abandon and more safely snag a platform to break your fall.

Additionally, extra whips–each with a different blessing and curse–unlock at seemingly random intervals, which isn’t as satisfying as receiving a reward for a specific accomplishment. 

There are also Em excesso levels that you can access by collecting keys from chests, which are scattered throughout Phantom Abyss each map.
